Frequently Asked Questions

Approximately 6 to 8 weeks.


Everyone’s lash regrowth cycle is a little different, with some lash lifts growing out in as little as four weeks and some lasting for the full eight. 


You can usually get a sense of your lash cycle after a couple of lash lift appointments, and finetune the time period that works best for you. 


  • You have had a successful lash lift recently. If your lashes were lifted less than 8 weeks ago, we’d recommend waiting to book in your next lift for the sake of your lash health. 
  • You are pregnant. Lash lifting has not been tested on pregnant clients in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, so ethically we cannot use the treatment. After this, it is fine/has been tested. 
  • You have had a previous allergic reaction to lash lifting. In the case of most allergies, repeat exposure to an allergen will result in worse reactions. This does not necessarily apply to those allergic to lash extensions. As a lash lift treatment does not involve any skin contact or glue exposure, it is often a great alternative for those with a glue allergy. The glue used does not contain the same ingredients as eyelash extension adhesive. 
  • You have had laser eye surgery in the previous six weeks. The cornea is still in the healing phase for the first six weeks, and can be severely irritated by any eye treatments. We need written permission from your doctor to proceed in this case. 
  • You have any evidence of eye inflammation, a stye or an eye infection. Your eye area needs to be completely healthy for any treatments to be safely applied. 


We cannot work closely with any of these conditions for health and safety reasons, and any appointments should be delayed until all symptoms have ceased/healed.



Please arrive with no makeup on, and we suggest not to drink caffeine right before your appointment (caffeine can make eyes very twitchy and difficult to perform a service on).


If it’s your first visit we will start with a full consultation. We will  go over your day to day routine and beauty regime.  Some initial photos of your face and eyes will be taken (this gives us our baseline for your starting lash health).  


This is a a great time for us to answer any questions you have and what your expectations are. 


Your appointment will take approximately 1.5 hours (usually much less if eyes are not difficult to tape and pad).   Dress comfortably, a blanket is provided for you to ensure you feel nice and cozy.  We suggest to have a snack before you come (we find clients rest more comfortably) when their tummy isn’t hungry.


Quiet background music will be on - however if you wish to listen to your own music you are welcome to wear headphones.  Alternatively, if you have requested a silent appointment we are happy to turn the music completely off as well.  Don’t hesitate to let us know what you need to rest easy - your comfort is so important to us!


You will be escorted to a tempurpedic cloud bed where your lash lift treatment will be performed. The service will begin with a thorough cleansing of the lash and eye area. The cleansing process will allow for better exposure of the natural lash (sans natural oils, makeup remnants) to the lifting and neutralizing solutions.  After the cleanse, the lash stylist will pad down your lower lashes, then precisely place your lash shield on your eyelid.  In small sections we will then begin to adhere your natural lashes up onto the shield to be prepped for the lifting process.


You will love this time relax with your eyes closed, there should be no pain as it is a non-invasive procedure.  We begin with the lifting solution which breaks down the disulfide bonds of your natural lash making it ready for the 2nd step.  After we remove all of the 1st solution, we then apply the setting solution to your lashes.  Rebuilding those bonds and setting them in their newly separated and curled position.  Finally at the end of the treatment we apply the tinting solution, followed by a nourishing oil to rehydrate those lashes.


Nearly all of our clients fall asleep during their lash service, so don’t hesitate to take a little nap!  If you snore a little - that’s ok too Lol! 😉   Once we’ve reached the end of the service you will be advised it is safe to open your eyes and admire your beautifully lifted lashes!.  A few photos will be taken after, these will be kept in your client file for  future reference and notes on the  appointment will be made as well.


Make sure prior to leaving,  you book your next lash lift  appointment.  With 6-8 weeks to wait between appointments it’s easy to forget.  To avoid the panic of last minute booking and trying to get squeezed in,  book before you go.


We have an appointment confirmation service in place to make things easier.  (Yay!!).  When your appointment is 48hrs  away you will get a confirmation notice requesting you to confirm you are coming (via text and email).  


Then an appointment reminder at the 24 hour mark (via text and email) in case something has come up and you need to reschedule.   So even if you book now and forget about it, we will keep track of it for you :)


Certain times of the day are more popular than others, so be sure to lock it in.  It is very easy to reschedule online if needed, so don’t worry if you need to change it later on!


Yes Please!  Try to avoid using waterproof mascara 3 days prior to your lash service.  Mascara is a stubborn substance to remove effectively, it will coat your lashes and can create a barrier between the lifting and setting lotions, causing a less than optimal lash lift result.


We recommend taking them out first, it will be much more comfortable.


Yes – we have a variety of shades for the palest of blondes, to the darkest brunettes/raven haired.


Please be aware that lighter shades/tint that’s not left on for very long does not last long. So go with a slightly darker shade if you want it to last a little longer.


Not normally, those with very sensitive eyes may experience a slight tingling sensation when we wash it off, but usually it does not sting.  Ensure you keep your eyes closed and talking to a minimum to keep your eyes from fluttering open.


We are unable to offer refunds on services rendered.  If you have concerns about your service, please reach out immediately (don’t wait a week).  We will want to make it right for you!!  We will work with you to ensure you are satisfied with your experience here at Lash Couturier🤍


Refund, exchange or Store Credit is available solely on the purchase of products. 

Products must be returned within 14 days of the original purchase date, with a valid receipt. Items must be in sealed and sellable condition: unopened, unused and in the undamaged original packaging.
