Hi!  I’m Crystal ☺️

My family and I just moved to the area from Thunder Bay in mid January - where we lived for 4.5 years.  Prior to moving to Thunder Bay we raised our daughter in Cochrane.  A small bilingual northern town an hour away from Kapuskasing and Timmins.    

Once we got to Thunder Bay it was the perfect time to reflect and discover what I wanted my new career to look like.  I knew I liked making people happy, helping people, working closely one on one (no large groups please - hello social anxiety😳) and I love to be creative and work with my hands.

So I thought maybe I would get into artificial nails or esthetics, but it  didn’t quite fit.  Then I found a course available from a local beauty supply store  that was offering certified lash extension training. It immediately drew me in.  It’s precise, detailed work. Requires great finger dexterity and an eye for detail and symmetry.  This was lining up perfect with my love of all things art and creating art!!

I was very nervous because we had just moved to TBay and I didn’t know anybody in the city - at all.  I took the initial training and absolutely loved it!  I couldn’t get enough information about lash extension application! I let the educator know I was new to the area and if anyone was looking for lashes or hiring a new lash tech I would love to know!  Well soon enough an introduction was made and I quickly found my new lash home at Wink for the next 4.5 years☺️☺️  

I was lucky to get hired so quickly, and I made sure to learn as much as I could while I was working there.  I chose to research and find even more professional and reputable courses to take, to grow my skills and confidence.  This is what I do lol.  

Even when I was very young, any time I learned a new skill I would get so immersed in it until I perfected it.  I started at 4 years old playing piano (and played and practiced all the time!)  and graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music with Honours when I was 14.  I think playing piano my whole life is what makes me so comfortable  and skilled with holding two tweezers and having both hands work independently.  

I have taken 15 different trainings and certifications that have brought me to the level of lashing that I am able to perform today.  I am proud to say I have worked non stop at improving and learning and perfecting my craft to be the best that I can be at it!

I started my  initial training with Micha Lash.

This June 8th I will be in Miami Florida learning from the absolute best of the best in the lashing world at LASHMAKERS ®.   Lena Asher is world renowned for her training and authentic Russian volume lash techniques.  I have invested heavily into this course to become a certified Professional Lash Trainer!!! Where I will be learning and using their highly specialized techniques.  I am beyond excited.  I have waited nearly 5 years, invested a colleges worth of $$$ into my lash education and I’ll finally be able to take the course that will be the culmination of all my years and practice in this industry.  

So as you can see, I absolutely LOVE what I do, and I can’t wait to meet more people in this area.  I’m not going to lie, it’s very scary moving to a new city AGAIN where I don’t know anyone AGAIN, but so many people have already made me feel so welcome here!😊🤗

I really am looking forward to meeting all of you! I truly hope you will allow me the trust and honour of creating lash magic, and leave my studio feeling confident and better than ever as you go about your day☺️
