Please reach us at Contact@lashcouturier.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
Please understand that our booking policy was created to be fair for all Lash Couturier clients, as well as for the business.
When a client books an appointment, she is reserving a block of time that (most often) other clients will request.
Keeping this in mind, when you forget to show up, or cancel your appointment last minute, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time. Clients on our waiting list also miss the opportunity to receive these services.
In order to be fair to our valued clients, rather than increase prices across the board, (because of no-shows and last minute cancellations), we manage to keep our prices competitive for all our clients, by charging ONLY those who do not show up and can’t abide by cancellation policies.
We hope that you feel these policies are fair, and we welcome your feedback.
Yes, please!
Make sure your eyelashes are squeaky clean – no traces of eye makeup prior to your appointment. Use an oil-free make up remover if possible, and rinse well.
Try to avoid using waterproof mascara 3 days prior to your first lash set.
Any traces of oil or makeup (especially mascara!) will create a barrier between the adhesive and your natural lashes, causing your extensions to drop off prematurely.
Please arrive with no makeup on, and we suggest not to drink caffeine right before your appointment (caffeine can make eyes very twitchy and difficult to lash).
If it’s your first visit we will start with a full consultation. We will go over your day to day routine and beauty regime. Some initial photos of your face and eyes will be taken (we will use these to conduct your facial analysis and determine what lash styles are best suited to your shape). This will also give us our baseline for your starting lash health. This is a a great time for us to answer any questions you have and you’ll be able to discuss the goal of your look, show any photo examples, and address any concerns.
Your first full set appointment will take between 2-3 hours (depending on the service you choose). Dress comfortably, a blanket is provided for you to ensure you feel nice and cozy. We suggest to have a snack before you come (we find clients rest more comfortably) when their tummy isn’t hungry.
Quiet background music will be on - however if you wish to listen to your own music you are welcome to wear headphones. Alternatively, if you have requested a silent appointment we are happy to turn the music completely off as well. Don’t hesitate to let us know what you need to rest easy - your comfort is so important to us!
You will be escorted to a tempurpedic cloud bed where your eyelash extension application will be performed. The application will begin with a thorough cleansing of the lash and eye area. The cleansing process will allow for a stronger bond between your natural lashes and the eyelash extensions. After a thorough cleanse, the lash stylist will begin to apply eyelash extensions to each individual natural lash.
You will love this time relax with your eyes closed, there should be no pain as it is a non-invasive procedure. An under-eye pad will be used to cover your lower lashes. During the process a natural eyelash is isolated and an extension lash is glued onto your natural eyelash approximately 0.5 mm from the base of your eyelash, so neither the glue nor the synthetic lash has contact with the skin.
Nearly all of our clients fall asleep during their lash session, so don’t hesitate to take a little nap! Once we’ve reached the end of the service you will be advised it is safe to open your eyes and admire your beautiful new lashes. A few photos will be taken after, these will be kept in your client file for future reference and notes on the styling and appointment will be made as well.
At this point we will give you an aftercare gift pack that will start you off with all of the items necessary to maintain and keep your beautiful new lash set and lid health in perfect condition.
Make sure prior to leaving, you book your fill appointment with the time that works best for your schedule. Certain appointment times fill up faster than others, so be sure to lock it in. It is very easy to reschedule online if needed, so don’t worry if you need to change it later on :)
At Lash Couturier, we use the highest quality tools and products. Even so, some people are allergic to cyanoacrylate, the active ingredient in all lash adhesives. This allergy can become prevalent after your first set (usually within the first 48rhs), for some people their intolerance builds up over multiple appointments and for the majority of people not at all.
Depending on the severity of your reaction, we recommend contacting us so we can get you in asap for a removal, then consulting with a doctor.
On a brighter note: A Lash Lift is an excellent alternative for curling and enhancing your lashes if you are unable to wear extensions.
We guarantee our work. If you have any concerns with the service you received, let us know within the first 2 days after your appointment, we will fix it to your satisfaction at no extra charge. This is a policy we are proud to offer you, our valued client. 🤍
If there is something you aren’t entirely in love with, please reach out immediately (don’t wait a week!). We will want to make it right for you!! We will work with you to ensure you are 100% satisfied with your experience here at Lash Couturier🤍
We are unable to offer refunds on services rendered. If an allergic reaction is suspected (rare), contact us as soon as possible and we will do a lash removal free of charge.
Refund, exchange or Store Credit is available solely on the purchase of products. Products must be returned within 14 days of the original purchase date, with a valid receipt. Items must be in sealed and sellable condition: unopened, unused and in the undamaged original packaging.
Lash extensions are made of a synthetic material called PBT. PBT (or Polybutylene terephthalate) is a type of polyester used in a range of products including toothbrushes, sports and swim wear, and—of course—false lashes.
The term ‘mink’ or ‘silk’ simply identifies the type of finish and taper to the lash it will receive when being made. So don’t be fooled by some who says they use ‘cashmere’ or ‘mink’ and try to charge extra - the names lash companies use to describe their lashes are just that, nothing more 😉
For Classic Lashes: Schedule a fill appointment within 14 days of your previous appointment for best looking results during your fill appt time.
If you are leaving your refill longer than 2 weeks, you are going to be leaving your refill appointment with a lot of natural lashes without an extension applied, as there is only so much we can do in the time allotted for a fill appointment. This means your lashes will not be at their fullest potential.
For Hybrid/Volume/Mega: Schedule a fill appointment within 21 days of your previous appointment for best looking results during your fill appt time.
If you are leaving your refill longer than 3 weeks, you are going to be leaving your refill appointment with a lot of natural lashes without an extension, as there is only so much we can do in the time allotted for a fill appointment. This means your lashes will not be at their fullest potential.
No! When properly applied, lash extensions should NEVER hurt! Extensions are applied to your natural lashes, not touching the skin, so you shouldn’t feel a thing. With your eyes closed, you may even find the treatment so relaxing that you fall asleep! Well, you wouldn’t be the first...
To the untrained eye, no one will know you’re cheating on your natural lashes. And your secret is safe with us! Gone are the days of mascara clumps… Your lashes will be clean, separated, perfect!
You should not feel any pain or discomfort in or around your eyes after the procedure. We’ve seen clients after previous dangerous or poorly applied lash applications performed elsewhere, and they have experienced clumping, pain, discomfort, or damage to their own natural lashes – this is not normal!
In the majority of cases, most clients’ lashes are good candidates for lash extensions. However, there may be limitations to the type of look achievable if your natural lashes are particularly sparse, fine or curly. For example, a healthy strong straight natural lash is needed in order to attach the extension properly and lashes that have severe bends may not be viable for extensions.
You poor thing! Call us immediately so we can remove your old extensions! We’ve rectified work by other salons many times, often when a client is in immense pain or discomfort it’s from improper application.
We can book you an appointment to remove your old lash extensions, and if you wish, apply a new set.
At this time we are unable to. Applying lash extensions to the bottom lashes would require clients to keep their eyes open. For safety reasons, we do not condone this practice.
